IAG Fire-Lock 2.4L FA24 Head Gaskets (1 Pair w/ Fire-Lock Rings) For 14mm Head Studs Only

Our proprietary "Fire-Lock" Head gasket system has been proven in our record-setting EJ Powered race cars to be the strongest Subaru head gasket system ever produced. We’re excited to announce that this technology has now come to the Subaru FA24F engines found in the 22-24 WRX. To achieve these results, our engineers isolated the combustion chamber sealing from the fluid sealing properties of the head gaskets. Tested beyond 1000 horsepower, these gaskets provide the durability and reliability needed for high-horsepower builds and extreme boost applications.

This solution is loosely derived from diesel technology where a counterbore step is machined around each cylinder bore allowing specially sized fire rings to drop into the machined area and head gasket bores. The shims are designed to create a compression seal once the heads are installed and torqued into place. If you’re committed to achieving a reliable high-power build, the IAG Fire-Lock Head Gaskets are a game-changing solution to prevent head gasket failure. However, to take full advantage of this innovative system, precision machining by IAG is required. The "Fire-Lock" system relies on a precisely machined recess at the top of each cylinder to hold the Fire-Lock ring. With the ring locked in place, it stands proud above the deck, providing a superior seal. IAG fire rings are manufactured to a very strict tolerance from a proprietary alloy and are then put through a heat treatment process. Fire-Lock Gaskets require IAG ARP 14mm Head Studs (not included) for proper installation. As part of IAG's machining service, the heads are drilled and re-threaded to support the oversized studs.

The gaskets are manufactured from an asbestos-free composite raw material and feature silicone-based beading applied to critical areas to improve sealing around all water and oil passages. The separate gasket bodies take care of sealing oil and coolant passages, keeping them out of the combustion chamber. The combination of the alloy compression shims and gaskets assures maximum sealing for the Subaru 2.4L FA24 engine.
